Women Who Inspire Banner

In celebration of Women’s History Month this March, Senator Blakespear is now accepting nominations for Women Who Inspire.  

We invite you to nominate women who live or work in Senate District 38, and who have made significant contributions to their communities and demonstrated exceptional leadership. This honor recognizes women who go above and beyond, inspiring others and making a lasting impact. All nominees will be recognized, and one will be selected to be honored on the Senate floor at the state Capitol in March.

The nomination deadline is Monday, February 23rd

ELIGIBILITY: Nominees must live, work, attend school, or volunteer in District 38. Individuals who have been previously nominated or honored through Senator Blakespear’s Women Who Inspire program, or who currently hold elected office, are not eligible.

Nomination Criteria Considerations

Nomination Categories: We recognize women in a range of fields like those suggested below

someone who has made significant contributions to their community through volunteer work or creating positive change in their local area
someone who has demonstrated exceptional performance in their field or has made significant contributions to their industry
someone who has demonstrated a personal commitment to teaching, student growth and engagement, and has had a positive impact on others
someone who has enriched the community through creativity and artistic expression
someone who has advanced science, technology, engineering, or math in their work, volunteer work, or leadership
someone who has been dedicated to the well-being of those in the community, and has improved the lives of others through exceptional care, and advocacy
someone who has demonstrated outstanding support, leadership, and advocacy for service members, veterans, and their families
a young person who has inspired change, demonstrated exceptional leadership, and made a positive impact in their community
someone who has demonstrated outstanding skill, commitment, and passion as an athlete
