2025 Cheers for Volunteers

Recognizing Volunteers across District 38

Nominations Now Open

Deadline: April 4, 2025

April is National Volunteer Month, so it’s time for Cheers for Volunteers! I look forward to recognizing volunteers and encouraging volunteerism throughout State Senate District 38. The spirit of citizen initiative and self-reliance has prevailed in the United States for over two centuries, and volunteerism remains an important pillar of our society.

So, I’m inviting you to nominate a volunteer who stands out at your organization for their expertise, commitment, caring and/or longevity. Whether they serve as board members, greeters, event organizers, food servers, drivers, mentors, social media managers, or in any other role, volunteers are indispensable and deserve our recognition and appreciation.

I look forward to honoring many volunteers from every corner of our district, from Mission Bay in San Diego County to Mission Viejo in Orange County.

Please submit a nomination for an individual who has positively impacted your organization, and the people and communities you serve. Nominees should reside or volunteer in District 38 (see District Map here). During the month of April, I will thank each nominee with a personalized letter and certificate of appreciation.

Don’t wait, submit your nomination today! Thank you for highlighting our amazing unsung heroes by giving Cheers to Volunteers!
